About us

The company Stehelin has been officially founded in 1855, but in fact the oldest documents available are even from the 1830s. Back then, the company was selling coffee, spices and colonial groceries.

Since the 1920s, we have been selling chemicals, from 1980 onwards chromatography products were added to the product range, in the following years also antibodies and molecular biology products.

Today, P.H.STEHELIN & CIE AG is situated in an old house in the very center of Basel. It has always remained in Swiss private possession and commercially independent.

Our objective are import and distribution of reagents and consumables for chemical, biological and healthcare laboratories, as well as raw materials for chemical, food and cosmetic industries. Our scientific sales staff supports our customers all over switzerland with their technical questions and problems.
